John MacArthur on Charles Spurgeon & Worldly Preaching

  1. Amen John MacArthur, the line must be held here brothers! As Spurgeon said ‘The pulpit is the Thermopylae of the church’ !!! Sermonettes produce Christianettes……Good stuff whoever posted it.

  2. Amen Pastor Briggs. What an encouragment MacArthur has been. How important is the pulpit! While the pastor’s work exceeds the pulpit nothing excels it. My respect for men such as Spurgeon and McArthur [and less famous men such as Pastor Briggs] has increased, as I have been pastoring for five years. To labor over a text for the good of my people. Week in and week out. To feed the flock with knowledge and understanding. What a blessed people to have such a hard-working shepherd.

Men. Keep up the good work!
