The Seeker Sensitive Movement

  1. This is as necessary to hear as it was when it was originally said. When will we hear it! Public worship is for God’s people not the world (nor the world within the church). Flippant, casual worship may increase numbers but will it honor God?

It seems to me the best way to love and win our culture is to ensure the church acts differently. Where else should this difference be evident than in public worship?

Let us have one primary goal in public worship–to honor and glorify God. And in doing so, let us expect an unbeliever if he comes in will fall on his face, worship God and report that “God is truly among you” (1Cor.14:23-25).

  2. I think the Bible mandates seeker-sensitive worship. In fact, it requires all acceptable worship to be done to, for, and becasue of the seeker (John 4:23).
